MODERN SLAVERY ACT – CARLTON PACKAGING LLP
1. Introduction
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Carlton Packaging LLP has taken during the 2025 financial year to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains.
Carlton Packaging LLP is committed to conducting its business ethically, responsibly, and transparently. We recognise our responsibility to respect human rights and are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking do not take place within our business or supply chain.
2. Our Business and Structure
Carlton Packaging LLP is a UK-based packaging company providing packaging products and related services to customers across a range of sectors. Our operations include the sourcing, distribution, and supply of packaging materials.
Our supply chain includes manufacturers, distributors, and service providers, some of which operate outside the United Kingdom.
3. Our Policies
In 2025, we have implemented policies that reflect our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking, including:
• A revised Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy (HR096) detailing our commitment to stamping out modern slavery.
• A review of our Supplier Code of Conduct outlining expected standards of ethical behaviour
• Reaffirmation of our Supplier expectations requiring compliance with applicable labour laws
• Policies supporting fair treatment, equality, and respect in the workplace
These policies are reviewed periodically to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
Packaging made smarter.
4. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We recognise that the risk of modern slavery may be higher in certain parts of the global packaging supply chain, particularly where manufacturing takes place overseas.
During 2025, we have taken steps to mitigate risks by:
• Assessing suppliers based on geography, industry sector, and supply chain complexity
• Engaging with suppliers to confirm compliance with labour standards
• Requesting assurances that suppliers do not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour
• Implementing new Modern Slavery training for our staff
No potential risks were identified; however, we continue to work collaboratively with suppliers to address concerns or reconsider relationships where appropriate.
5. Supplier Relationships
Carlton Packaging LLP expects suppliers to:
• Adhere to all relevant employment and labour legislation
• Ensure that workers are employed freely, paid fairly, and treated with dignity and respect
• Prohibit the use of child labour, forced labour, or human trafficking
We reserve the right to review supplier practices and take action if non-compliance is identified.
6. Training and Awareness
To ensure our staff understands the risks of modern slavery and how to identify potential indicators, we:
1. Promoted awareness of modern slavery issues within the business
2. Ensured relevant employees understood our policies and reporting procedures
3. Trained 63% of our employees on Modern Slavery and its global impact with a view to ensuring 100% of staff are trained in 2026.
We continue to evaluate appropriate training methods proportionate to the size and nature of our business.
